TOPOLA

Topola is a village in northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Kavarna municipality, Dobrich region. An important archaeological find from the area of the village is the silver-plated bronze mirror, which was found together with similar earrings in grave 378 in the necropolis near Topola. Remains of an early Christian church, used from the end of the 4th to the beginning of the 6th century, were found in the "Kavaklaka" area. In 1977, the archaeological remains of residential and farm buildings with four two-chamber kilns for firing ceramics from the early medieval settlement near the village were discovered, dating them to the end of the 7th - first half of the 8th century. West of the village is the Topola villa area with many holiday and beach villas.
